Midnight Sun Canadian Misty Waterfalls #189037106
Description
Camron Falls Ramparts Waterfall sideview with pond and trees reflecting in pond. The river shore is lined with the Canadian Boreal Forest resting on the thin soil of the Canadian Shield. Evening photo taken in June - Photo in HDR. Yellowknife Northwest Territories Canada. Late evening before sunset at 11:30 pm under the midnight sun. The foreground is an example of the scarped rocks of the Canadian Shield that were scraped and cut by glaciers thousands of years ago In tiny cracks on the rock face, life takes root with small blades of grass finding a way to take root and grow. The edges of the rocks are damp from the mist of the falls. This time of year the sun sets around 11:30 pm and rises again at 4:40 am, creating a golden hour that ranges from 10:30 pm until 5:30 am. The longest golden hour on the planet.
