The ruins of the fortress wall of Uplistsikhe 9596 #189056607
Description
Georgia is a wonderful country for tourists. The cave city of Uplistsikhe was carved into the rock more than three thousand years ago. The city experienced ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the 19th century. Uplistsikhe included millennia of the Georgian people culture. The remains of the fortress wall protecting Uplistsikhe from enemies from the north are visible in the photograph. From the west, Uplistsikhe defended impregnable cliffs, the height of which can be estimated by the large man on the rock.
