Georgia is a wonderful country for tourists. The cave city of Uplistsikhe was carved into the rock more than three thousand years ago. The city experienced ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the 19th century. Uplistsikhe included millennia of culture of the Georgian people, is a multi-layered archaeological site, one of the most important objects of Georgian culture. The photograph shows the central part of the cave city behind which opens the picturesque landscape of the Kura Valley.
