Assassins in the Snow 3D Illustration #189229187
Description
In the Christian historiography of the Middle Ages, members of the Shiite-Islamic community of the Nizarites, or this community as a whole, were designated under the foreign name Assassins. Christian Europe came into direct contact with this group in the historical period of the crusades of the 12th and 13th centuries, which, under the label attached to it, left a deep and lasting impression in its imagination and inspired it to create a legend that is still popular today without having been accompanied by a deeper knowledge of the historical, theological and structural constitution of this community until the 20th century.
