Novigrad, Town Of Queen Marija Royalty-Free Stock Photography

Town called Novigrad, near Zadar, situated at the confluence of river Zrmanja into Adriatic sea. Overlooking this small town on the top of the hill is old medieval fortress Castrum novum croatian Fortica, build in 13th century by Romans nad later restored by croatian nobels Gusići-Kurjakovići. Queen Marija was imprisoned in this fortress with her mother Elizabeta in 1386. This shot was taken by dron, in early summer.
