Description
This jali or window is from Bibi ka makbara. The Bibi Ka Maqbara & x28;English: & x22;Tomb of the Lady& x22;& x29; is a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his first and chief wife Dilras Banu Begum & x28;posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Daurani& x29; and is considered to be a symbol of Aurangzeb& x27;s & x27;conjugal fidelity& x27;. It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Aurangzeb& x27;s mother, Mumtaz Mahal.
