Description
The Etang de Thau is a lagoon separated from the Gulf of Lion by a cord of coastal sand connecting the Agde volcano and the hill of Sète Mont Saint-Clair. It is extended to the east by the ponds of Eaux-Blanches and the pond of Ingril de Frontignan, today partially filled. To the west, there is the pond and the Bagnas marsh, property of the Coastal Conservatory and protected bird sanctuary.
