Description
Several frigates carried this mythological name in the French Navy. Another Hermione was built under the First Empire at the Lorient arsenal by the company of the Crucy brothers.In 1793, the Hermione was engaged in the mouth of the Loire to support the republican troops against the Vendeans. As it leaves the estuary on September 20, it hits a rock and sinks on the Plateau du Four, off Le Croisic.
