Description
Cardo street is the main street of the Old city of Jerusalem. The extant Cardo street was formed in the Byzantine period, the width of Cardo street was 22.5 m. Two colonnades were built along the street with covered sidewalks for pedestrians. The roadway was 12.5 m. Along the street, sewers ran under the pavement to drain rainwater.
