Description
Kazan temple is located on one of the most ancient historical sites of the city. The exact time of the construction of the new temple is not known, but its description for 1663 has been preserved. The four-tier bell tower was added to the church later, after a fire that happened in 1793. Then the old bell tower was dismantled and in 1807 a new one was built in its place. In contrast to the baroque church, which has a modest decoration, the bell tower, built in the classical style, is decorated with many columns and columns, pediments, and lucarnes are arranged in the roof. Initially, the bell tower was crowned with a high spire, later it was replaced by a dome.
