The most effective look in the garden of modern tetraploid varieties of daylilies. Their bushes grow quickly, give larger flowers and differ in a wide variety of petal color. Direct sunlight should illuminate the plants for at least 6 hours a day. The soil must be treated to a depth of at least 30 cm. In the summer of Central Russia, daylilies do not have time to complete the growing season, and the leaves die due to frosts. The winter dormancy period is short, 1.5-2 months. When choosing varieties for a collection in the zone of risky agriculture, it is desirable to use only hardy varieties and with early-medium flowering periods. They are propagated by seeds and vegetatively. Division of bushes is made in the spring.
