Description
This Beaux-Arts façade, with a clock at the top, was the Desamparados train station when it was designed by Rafael Marquina and then opened in 1912, next to the RÃÂmac river. It served as the main terminal for the central railway line of the Railway. In 2009, Estación de Desamparados was rebuilt as the House of Peruvian Literature. Within this educational and cultural center, information about the country`s literature and about famous authors is displayed.
