Description
Workshops for the Outdoor Blind of Liverpool, Cornwallis Street, Liverpool. The foundation stone of the new workshops and institution of the Society for the Out-door Blind at Liverpool was recently laid. The building, which is to be of a horse-shoe shape or plan, having its closed end to Cornwallis Street, will cover 962 square yards, and will have a frontage to the street of 36 yards. The centre portion of the front will contain upon the ground floor a vestibule, show-room, managerââ¬â¢s office, and principal staircase leading to the two upper floors of the central block. Externally the building will be faced with cream-coloured bricks and red-stone dressings; and the style of its architecture is to be Pointed Gothic of the very simplest character. Mr George Redmayne is the architect.
