Andrew Jackson Statue In Jacksonville, Florida Editorial Image

For years Jacksonville’s copy of the statue of the city’s namesake was perched behind a lesser-used entrance to the Jacksonville Landing, a half-empty shopping mall built downtown in the 1980s, just west of the Main Street Bridge. In 2010, the statue was moved to a new roundabout at the southern end of Laura Street, just north of the Landing.
