Bronze statue titled `A Mother`s Tears` by Paul Tadlock in the Veteran`s Memorial Park in the city of Irving, Texas. At the feet of the statue is the perpetual River of Freedom cascading over two falls. Paul Tadlock is a famous American artist who completed all the sculptures in the park. The mother with son and daughter is gazing upon the Wall of Commemoration. A tear on her cheek symbolizes the price mothers pay to sustain our freedom. The first phase of the park was completed in 2004 and the second phase in May 2009. The park honors the Irving residents who paid the ultimate price to protect the basic freedoms we hold dear.
