The guitar and amplifier were built during the middle of the Great Depression for Sears and Roebuck who used to sell entry level musical instruments during the Christmas Holidays. At $37.50, the amplifier cost more than the guitar. Awkward! Guitar on display at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona.
