Sacsayhuaman Fortress - view of ensemble- Peru 144 #194300387
Description
The fortress of Sacsayhuamán consists of three parallel ramps, 600 m long, arranged in a zig-zag pattern, consisting of monolithic blocks the largest with a height of 9 m, a width of 5 m and a thickness of4m, with a weight of about 350 tons perfectly assembled and embedded in each other. The techniques used to transport these stone masses remain a deep mystery, hence the assumption that unearthly techniques were used. The enclosures, which are approximately 360 m long, are connected by stairs and trapezoidal doors
