Old holm oaks near the Visigoth necropolis of Arroyo de la Luz #197263802
Description
The characteristic holm oaks make the landscape look like a fairytale decor. They look like the guards of the nearby necropolis. Hundreds of these necropolises are scattered across the granite ridge of Alto Extremadura in Spain. The tombs are carved into the granite rocks of the Dehesa de La Luz in the province of Cáceres. They are of late Roman and Visigoth age, centuries IV-VII. They are usually located next to large cattle villages or rustic villas.
