Description
The Shahi Mosque of the Mughal period is known as Bhanga Mosque. The mosque is located at Bandura on the east bank of the Ichhamati river.Only 8 km from the upazila headquarters. In the distance is the location of the new Bandura Shahi Mosque or the broken mosque. The three-domed mosque is located on about 50 percent of the land. Locally, it is believed that the mosque is an unseen mosque whose main building rises from the ground. It is known that the mosque was built about 400 years ago by Subedar Islam Khan Chishti during the reign of Emperor Jahangir in about 1610.
