Description
Gold was first found around Coolgardie in 1892, and the town soon became the third largest town in Western Australia with a population of 16,000. The railway arrived in 1896 but sadly the station closed in 1976. The main street is wide enough to turn a camel train. St Anthony`s school was opened in 1902 and still operates as a school today.
