It is one of six species of sea lion. Animal classification is zalophus californianus. Its natural habitat ranges from southeast alaska to central mexico, including the gulf of california. They are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and noisy barking. Their color ranges from chocolate brown in males to a lighter, golden brown in females.
