The Saugus Iron Works originally named Hammersmith is a national historic landmark and part of the National Parks Service since 1968. Upon entering the park visitors are greeted by a beautiful 17th century home. Known as the Iron Works House, it was not part of the original compound. It was built in 1680 after the iron works closed. The house exchanged hands several times before being acquired
