N.W. corner of Town of Summerhill on Lick St., a dirt road which runs from Rt. 90 to the Skinner Hill Road, east of Moravia - Lot. 16.On October 6, 1832, a group of Lick Street and nearby men met at a School house - Dist. #1 - and formed a cemetery society to be called Machpelah Society. Land was donated by George Lick and Peter Robinson. Cayuga county, NYS. Surrounded by colorful maple and hardwood trees. 1832 was during the Second Cholera Pandemic, New York was among the most thoroughly scourged among the states.
