It is a species of miming mockingbird in English. It is a bird famous for its vast repertoire of songs, which include imitations of other species. It can also be called tejo-do-campo, wisdom or Calhandra.It has the characteristic of a synanthropic bird, that is, it can adapt to large cities, as long as water and green areas are available where they can land, hunt and nest. Its brown color with a grayish torso contribute to its preservation, since they mimic urban and rural environments. They are small birds, adults measuring 12 to 15 cm. A curiosity is that its vibrant and sonorous song does not seem to correspond to the small animal.
