Swallowtail Larva In Silk Sling On Black Royalty-Free Stock Image

Swallowtail butterfly entering into the pupa stage. In the last 12 hours the larva has created the silk sling and started the transformation to chrysalis. Note the wings of the butterfly are already visible in the thorax region though the translucent skin. 12 hours after this image was taken the larva shed its skin completing the transition into the pupa stage.
