Description
Long-billed Plover Charadrius placidus is a small and medium wading bird. The base, chin, throat, and front neck are white; eyebrows are white, and ear feathers are dark brown. The front part of the head has black spots; the upper body is grayish brown. The white collar on the back of the neck extends to the chest; the lower part is a black chest strap. The rest of the lower body is white. The stem of the first primary flight feather was light brown, and the tip turned white. The mouth is black. It is a migratory bird with strong flying ability. The living environment is mostly related to wetlands and cannot do without water. Inhabits in wetlands such as seashores, islands, river beaches, lakes, ponds, swamps, paddy fields, salt lakes, etc.
