Description
Pictured is State Highway 17 traversing the 2 miles of Wild Rose Pass 10 miles northeast of Fort Davis, Texas. It was named in 1849 by Lieutenant William H. C. Whiting who traveled through the area in March and noticed the wild Demaree rose, which grows at springs and seeps in the area.
