Description
Pictured are metal sculptures of a redbird, bird house and rearing horse outside the Toyahvale Desert Oasis. Toyahvale is an unincorporated community along State Highway 17 and FM 3078, established in 1884. It`s population was 60 in 2000. The store is a stone`s throw south of the entrance to Balmorhea state park and is owned by Darrel and Neta Rhyne. They sell and rent all the necessary gear for swimmers, snorklers and scuba divers. Certification is offered as well. They are temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
