Description
Stockholm, with a February mean of âËâ3 ðC (26.6 ðF), depending on the definition used, lies directly on the border between the humid continental and oceanic zones. Due to the city's high northerly latitude, daylight varies widely from more than 18 hours around midsummer, to only around 6 hours in late December. Despite its northern location, Stockholm has relatively mild weather compared to other locations at similar latitude, or even farther south. Summers are warm and pleasant with average daytime high temperatures of 20ââ¬â22 ðC (68ââ¬â72 ðF) and lows of around 13 ðC (55 ðF), but temperatures could reach 30 ðC (86 ðF) on some days. Winters are cold, and sometimes snowy with average temperatures ranging from -5 to 1 ðC (23 to 34 ðF), and rarely drop below âËâ15 ðC (5.0 ðF). Spring and autumn are generally cool to mild. The highest temperature ever recorded in Stockholm was 36 ðC (97 ðF); the lowest was âËâ32 ðC (âËâ26 ðF). ---------------------------------------------- I saw these bicycles two nights ago, when my friends and I were coming back from an Iranian restaurant, Zartosht. Yesterday morning, I went there to take this shot while the temperature was -17 ðC.
