Description
Video surveillance in the Moscow metro. The decor of the Mendeleevskaya station of the Moscow metro, named after the great chemist Dmitri I. Mendeleev, the inventor of the periodic table of chemical elements. Opened in 1988. The hall is decorated with white marble, the walls are decorated with inserts with stylized images of deformation electron density of various binary molecules, which at the time of the station`s construction was the cutting edge of quantum chemistry. Soviet chemists took part in the development of the station design.
