Monument Tirosa #206008680
Description
The Tirosa Monument was built in 1995, during the reign of Regent Paul Lawa Rihi. At that time, Kupang Regency had a large area, starting from Timor Island to Semau Island, Rote Island and Sabu Island. This abreviation of geographical conditions becomes TIROSA. Timor, Rote, Sabu. The figures who become the icons of the monument are three people who come from Timor, Rote and Sabu. They are H.R. Koroh, (Raja Amarasi, Timor), Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman Johannes (born on Rote Island, rector of UGM Yogyakarta 1961-1966) and Maj. Gen. TNI El Tari (born on Sabu Island, Governor of NTT from 1966-1978).
