The crossing uses a Ferry from the Ulee Lheue Banda Aceh pier, to the Balohan port, Pulau Weh. If a straight line is drawn, it is approximately 25 km away, it takes one hour of rafting. Pulau Weh is a quaternary volcanic island, located northwest of the island of Sumatra. The island was separated because of the last eruption of gunugapi at the Pleistocene age.
