Description
The azure damselfly (Coenagrion puella) is common in Germany and the surrounding countries it can be found everywhere close to lakes between May and September.The different colour of the individuals is typical for this species so the blue males can easily be distinguished from the green females. Their act takes up to 30 minutes. They are sitting on a leaf of bitter dock (Rumex obtusifolius).
