Palna River in the archaeological park `Argamach` near Yelets town in the winter, Russia #207088692
Description
The archaeological park `Argamach` is located in Argamach Palna village near Yelets town. The park is a great place for tourism and recreation with the whole family. The park is adjacent to the specially protected natural area `Argamach-Palna`, which is a natural monument with an area of ââ¬â¹Ã¢â¬â¹130 hectares. The landscape of the area is formed by the canyon-shaped valley of the Palna River, which includes rock outcrops, caves, gorges, springs, relict oak forests. Three geographic zones with characteristic vegetation met here - steppe, mountain and forest. The fast current of Palna brings it closer to mountain rivers. Its water is crystal clear - there is not a single industrial enterprise upstream, and indeed there are very few settlements here. Numerous beaver dams are evidence of this.
