The mosque and houses of Kruja Albania Europe #208741471
Description
The name of the city derives from the Albanian word krua-kroi which means spring-fountain: Kruja was in fact the city of sources being located near high mountains and rich in waters that flowed down to the city.Ironically one of the problems currently affecting the city is the ineffective plumbing system and the restricted water supply in homes.Kruja has several places of tourist attraction such as the medieval castle the last place of the Albanian resistance to the Turkish-Ottoman oppressor which houses the Giorgio Castriota Scanderbeg National Museum the citadel with its old shops now restored and the Mosque Bazaar.
