Caucasian Ivory-flowered or Colchis bladdernut Staphylea colchica a small deciduous flowering tree in the Bladdernut family or Staphyleaceae. It is native to Georgia where its seasoned buds preserved in brine are a common dish. It has hanging clusters of bell- or cup-shaped white cream or pink flowers and leaves of three or five leaflets.
