This virgin white monument to Benito Juárez is a monument in honor of Benito Juárez He was President of Mexico between 1858 and 1872. The monument is located in the Alameda Central a park in Mexico City and was unveiled there in 1910 by President Porfio Diaz. Benito Pablo Juárez García was a Mexican liberal politician and lawyer. He was president of Mexico from 1858 to 1872 much of which was in opposition. In that period he took on the conservatives or the reign of Emperor Maximilian. Juárez is still considered Mexico's greatest and most beloved leader.
