Because he wanted to jump with somersaults he had no extra protection on his legs. About halfway through the jump it turned out that he was no longer attached to the elastic. From a height of more than thirty meters he fell to the ground next to the air cushion. He was instant dead. Hundreds of visitors witnessed the accident.
