Description
Port Fairy is a small coastal town on Victoria's far west coast at the western end of the infamous Shipwreck Coast 290-Kilometres west of the State capital Melbourne. At the mouth of the Moyne River the towns wide streets are lined with 19th-Century architecture and towering Norfolk Pines. It's home to a busy fishing port known for its crayfish and abalone. The SS CASINO was a coastal steamer and regular visitor to Port Fairy. The CASINO along with her Captain and 9 crew members were lost off the Victorian coast on 10th July 1932.
