Mark Collier / Staff Photo A crew from Central Vermont Public Service met late Monday at a major substation just outside Randolph to begin the difficult job of replacing the power lines feeding into the vital piece of local infrastructure. Approximately 10,000 customers depend on this substation to supply their power. Erosion caused by the raging waters of the river below undermined the power poles and left them tilted dangerously off center.
