Title
Sitting in the moring after a meal - Tricolored Heron #210713660
Description
This one found in the Wetlands on a rail right after it`s meal. The Tricolored Herons have such an expression of indifference. If I pretend not to see you, then you`re not there! Many birds do this! I think it`s a defense mechanism. What ever it is I appreciate it as this bird allowed me to come close to it and take this image. Here is some info on Tricoloreds: The tricolored heron, formerly known as the Louisiana heron, is a small species of heron native to coastal parts of the Americas; in the Atlantic region, it ranges from the northeastern United States, south along the coast, through the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, to northern South America as far south as Brazil.
