The Wood Stork - The Baby Deliverer! Stock Photo

Have you seen the cartoons with the Stork delivering a baby to it`s parents! This is that bird....... but it`s not in real life! Wood Storks are hefty wading birds with football-shaped bodies perched atop long legs. They have a long neck and a long, thick bill that is curved at the tip. it likes to wade in the water while it`s feet shuffles along to wake up the fish on the bottom so it can catch it and feed. This bird is more stoic than others and doesn`t seem to mind much if you get near it. But it will fly away from you like other birds, only if you talk too much! I was pretty silent taking this picture of it!
