Description
City of Lota, Chile. 8-12-2011. Interior of the premises of the house occupied by the first doctor who brought the Cousiño family to the city of Lota. Later it was the house of the managers of the coal company.Built in 1964, entirely with native wood, designed in the English style. It has 25 rooms which today house testimonies of the Carbon era such as furniture belonging to the company, ceramics, lamps, mining tools, photographs and texts with the most significant facts. the formation of Lota, and the colonization of the Cousiño family, a pioneer in the coal industry in Chile.The visitors are received by the guides, dressed in old fashioned clothes and are called `Las Isidoras` representing Doña Isidora Goyenechea, heir to the coal empire.
