Description
The bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville, known as the Giralda. The tower was the minaret of the city's mosque. After the conquest of Seville by the Christians the mosque was converted in a church and the minaret was transformed in a bell tower.In 1568 a newer section, which corresponds to the upper third of the actually tower, was built in Renaissance style.
