The sexs are alike, Very colorful, lilac chest with streaks of brown. Brownish heads and uniform blue-green outer tail feathers. Distribution: Europe, the middle East and Western Asia. Summer migrant in Africa, as far south as Damaraland on the West, Knysna on the East. Odd spesimens as far west As Mosselbay, Somerset West and Mamre.
