Description
Israeli statesman and politician Simcha Dinitz far right, attends an outdoor concert in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1988 with his wife Vivian and other dignitaries. As head of the Jewish Agency for Israel he played a significant role in facilitating one million Russian Jews and over 100,000 Ethiopian Jews emmigrating to Israel. Dinitz was a counselor to Prime Minister Golda Meir, a Member of the Knesset, and a lecturer on Israel foreign relations. He was a popular speaker and fundraiser for Israel through hs vast network of relationships in the United States. Dinitz died in Tel Aviv, Israel of a heart attack at the age of 74 on September 23, 2003.
