Description
Popularly known as Phra Chedi Klang Nam or 'Pagoda in the middle of the Water', the Buddhist temple is said to house 12 sacred relics of Lord Buddha and was built by King Rama II in 1827-1828 on an island in the Chao Phraya River. The Abhaya mudra symbolizes dispelling of fear, protection & reassurance, and refers to an incident when the historical Buddha stopped a flood caused by a river.
