Way of the railway in northern Thailand #21703899
Description
Track railway built on a mountainside above the River Kwai Noi, a tributary of the River Kwai, which leads to Burma. It is entirely on stilts. The local line is still used twice daily for the needs of local populations. It serves as a school bus and communication with Namtok, the nearest town. It was called the death train as many Thais were killed accidentally during construction in the last century. Once a week a train passes between Kanchananburi and Bangkok.
