A plaque next to the Talbot County courthouse in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland records the county`s opposition in 1774 to the British Parliament passing the Boston Port Act closing the Port of Boston, and their support for liberty. This was the precursor to the `Boston Tea Party`.Behind, and in front of the courthouse, stands the disputed Confederate statute of the Talbot Boys.
