Bass rock, firth of forth #21846546
Description
A view of the famous Bass rock at sunset, in the firth of forth, Scotland. Taken from the shore at east Berwick, to show the rocks at high tide, which was once a graveyard for shipping visiting Edinburgh in the 19th century. The foreground rocks show a shipping marker, and, on the rock itself, is a lighthouse. The Bass rock is now a strictly controlled nature reserve for a large colony of gannets.
